Concrete slab crushes man to death inside mixer
TRACY, CA - A man was killed on Tuesday afternoon when a large piece of concrete fell on him inside a mixer at A&A Concrete off Linne Road.
According to Chief David Bramell of Tracy Fire Department, the man was inside the mixer's drum removing build-up when a 1,800 pound slab of concrete fell and pinned him down.
The man was working for a Southern California based company, Express Chipping Out, that had been hired by A&A to remove the build-up, according to Bramell.
When crews arrived at the incident shortly after 3:30 p.m., the man was pronounced dead.
