Teen Workshop - Get Hired and Become Financially Fit!

“Ties and Dollar Signs” is the theme of the upcoming PEARLS Program Workshop sponsored by the Tracy Women’s Forum Association.

This workshop will teach teens everything they need to know about getting a job and handling money for the future!

Guest speakers include Captain John Espinoza of the Tracy Police Department and Catherine Rodgers, Assistant Vice President/Sales & Service Manager from Bank of Stockton.  Captain Espinoza will share tips and strategies to give teens confidence while interviewing and entering the working world.  Catherine Rodgers will follow with money-managing skills and how-to’s on gaining the most from your hard-earned cash.

There is no charge to attend and all high school students and their parents are welcome to join this fun, interactive and informative workshop!  Refreshments will be provided as well as raffles throughout the event. Seating is limited and on a first come, first serve basis!

Tis the season for holiday parties. Come learn from Nugget Market’s wine expert what wines will work best with your appetizers and dishes at your party.

Nugget wine steward Michael Taylor and specialty cheese manager Jaclyn Neff will give a presentation on how to pair your wine in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Have a chance to sample some wine and appetizers and see for yourself why different wines work so well with certain foods.

The wine and cheese experts bring years of experience to the table. Taylor worked as a chef for 17 years and has a vast experience in winemaker dinners and selecting wines for his restaurant’s wine list. He has also traveled to some of the biggest food-and-wine regions, including Spain, Portugal and France.

Neff has worked as a cheese specialist at the Vacaville Nugget Market for more than two years, and is now the department manager.

Tracy Women’s Forum Association Accepting Nominations for the 2013 Women of Tracy

Tracy Women’s Forum Association Accepting Nominations for the 2013 Women of Tracy

The Tracy Women’s Forum Association has a long history of recognizing the outstanding women volunteers that keep our community strong through our Women of Tracy Program.  Each year we honor three women in Tracy who give of themselves to make our city a great place to live.

TWFA will be accepting nominations for the 2013 Women of Tracy Awards December 1, 2012 through January 15, 2013.  This year we are asking the community, those who see the impact our volunteers make to our schools and community organizations in the greater Tracy area, to nominate those women who have made a difference in our community. We invite the public to nominate their outstanding volunteers as candidates for the 2013 Women of Tracy.
