Lathrop man suspected of killing wife | Crime

LATHROP, CA - A man is accused of killing his wife in their Lathrop home early Sunday morning.
San Joaquin County sheriff's deputies responded to the home on the 14600 block of Avon Street around 12:07 a.m. after getting a 911 call, Deputy Dave Konecny said.
Charlie Dumlao, 38, was found by deputies kneeling next to his wife while armed with a large screwdriver. He was arrested and booked into San Joaquin County Jail.
Konecny said Dumlao's two children were home during the attack; both were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. They were later released into Child Protective Services' custody.
Dumlao is charged with murder, willful cruelty toward children, attempted willful murder and assault.
The woman's identity was not released pending the coroner's notification.
