Fire Department opens application period for fireworks lottery | Community
Tracy, CA – The Tracy Fire Department is accepting applications for non-profit and public school organizations to participate in the Safe and Sane Fireworks Sales Lottery process. The lottery process determines which organizations will be allowed to obtain permits to sell Safe and Sane Fireworks for the July 4, 2013 holiday.
Interested organizations may obtain the application by visiting Tracy Fire Administration at 835 Central Avenue, Tracy. The lottery application may also be obtained by visiting the City of Tracy’s website at www.ci.tracy.ca.us.
Completed applications must be turned in to Fire Administration no later than 6:00 pm on December 7, 2012.
All qualifying applicants will be included in the lottery drawing which is tentatively scheduled for January 10, 2013.
The Fire Department will select nine organizations and three alternate organizations to continue in the permitting process. Only those organizations meeting all requirements will be issued a Safe and Sane Fireworks Sales permit.
